AcmeX Partners LLC was founded by someone who experienced this reality firsthand through several years of hands-on management in the field. We are a consulting firm dedicated exclusively to supporting startups in the drug discovery space.
With a clear belief that “a company’s value lies in its R&D, and creativity is not required in back-office operations,” we provide specialized services focused on building organizational infrastructure and fundraising strategies. By leveraging our strong network within the drug discovery ecosystem, we help create an environment where startups can stay focused on what matters most—research and development.
Our Founding Story
Our founder, Joji, joined a regenerative medicine startup originating from a university medical school as its first employee and played a key role in supporting the company’s growth.
However, through that journey, he came to realize the structural challenges that drug discovery startups face.
The high cost of R&D, the low probability of success, and Japan’s uniquely low employee mobility make it extremely difficult to attract top talent. As a result, startup founders—who should be focused on research and development—often find their time and energy spread thin across administrative and management tasks.
It was this firsthand experience, along with a strong sense of mission to help build globally competitive drug discovery startups, that inspired the founding of AcmeX Partners.
